BMW has officially revealed the 2015 X6. This is the first redesign since the model’s inception back in 2009.

The BMW X6 follows the same design cues for the front fascia as the latest X5 model. Aerodynamics has been improved in the new model, as well more equipment coming as standard now, such as xenon headlamps, automatic tailgate and 19-inch alloy wheels. As will almost all BMW models, there will be an M Sport package available which includes a body kit, a matte-aluminum grille and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The interior will get some upgrades as well, along with adaptive suspension and self-leveling rear air suspension.

Under the hood, the X6 will initially be available with one petrol and two diesel engines. In this region, only the turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine will probably make it, which produces about 450 hp and 650 Nm of torque. That should be good enough to propel it from 0-100 kph in about 4.8 seconds, with top speed electronically limited to 250 kph. A 3.0-litre inline-6 cylinder turbocharged petrol unit will be available later on in 2015.

The 2015 BMW X6 should make its debut in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the beginning of next year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the BMW X6 buyer guide.
