2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake spotted in Dubai
There I was, perched on top of a tower at “the other JBR”, waiting for the mysteriously-wrapped car to move off, so I could get a clear shot at it away from parked cars. This is the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake, right here in Dubai.
The front-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class sedan will be debuting here by the end of 2014, as per word on the street, a year later than the rest of the world as there was concern over it sniping sales away from the slow-selling new A-Class and older C-Class models.
This Shooting Brake wagon version of that sedan does not need to exist, but apparently wagons of any sort do well in Europe, even if they’re compromised by sloping rooflines, so we have this car here, undergoing hot-weather tests in the UAE, just like every other Mercedes-Benz for the past decade. We’ve been spotting camouflaged Mercedes-Benz cars for that long here.

Wait, I thought the A Class is the hatch version of cla, which one is higher class now I am confused, A class or cla class

Why do they need to do hot weather testing on that car if the underpinnings are identical to the Sedan CLA? Surely the components that will be heat-stressed, i.e. drivetrain/air-con etc, are going to be completely unchanged?
