Hyundai have fully revealed the all-new 2016 Tucson ahead of its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next month.

The exterior takes on the style cues of the Korean company’s new design concept which we have already seen on the new Santa Fe. It features a chrome hexagonal front grille and sleek headlights, along with LED daytime running lamps.

Inside, the cockpit gets a more premium feel with more soft touch materials being adopted and a large touchscreen display.

Under the hood, two gasoline engines are offered which include the 135 hp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. A turbocharged version of the same engine produces 176 hp and power is delivered via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Safety features include Smart Parking Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist System, Rear Traffic Cross Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Speed Limit Information Function and Active Bonnet System which will automatically raise the hood to cushion the impact shock in case of a frontal collision.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of the year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Hyundai Tucson buyer guide.

  1. Beautifully sculpted piece of art by Peter S and his design team at Hyundai 🙂

The turbo charged models would not arrive at GCC owing to the price difference that the markets would refuse to absorb. Expect a carryover engine configuration from the existing Tucson model.

Hope the interior combination of wine red in leather and black would be offered here in the GCC.

This is going to be a definite winner in the small CUV category for Hyundai. Way to go!!

  2. They copied the GTi Mk7 Rim Design. Im highly annoyed.

  3. impressive design, i liked it much. waiting to own it.

  4. Now this is a really nice car

  5. For those talking and comparing Jap to Korean, you need to know that in automotive industry there is a rule that there are 1 or 2 defective cars in every 100 cars produced by all brands, sometimes its a bad luck and you get the defected car, I bought an Avalon from toyota 3 years ago and the car had many problems, before it I drove Santa Fe and drove it for 65K kilometers in one year (abused it) without a single problem, I didnt even change brake pads, then I bought Genesis after avalon and also drove it for a year with 30k without a problem, now I bought the new Santa Fe, and at 40k I had a minor problem with suspension in the rear (Squeaks and noise) and solved under warranty, so you can never generalize

  6. Why does have the Golf GTI MK7’s rims ? it’s %100 the same

  7. copied GTI MK7 Rims!!!!!!!, they have designed the car and sooo lazy to get their own rims.. , typical act of traders not manufacturers

  8. LMAO, Dual clutch tranny in a CUV? Imagine what’s next, Elantra or the Accent?

Why not the Genesis Coupe which would make more sense.

  9. Sante Fe from the front. Tiguan from the back. Qashqai was much more original than this

  10. Who cares from where they borrowed the design ideas!
It is a simple and beautiful car.

  11. When this model Tucson will be avaiable in KSA. The new desgin
