Aston Martin Vulcan debuts at Goodwood

2016 Aston Martin Vulcan

The Aston Martin Vulcan was unveiled at Geneva earlier this year and made its debut at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Powered by a 7.0-litre V12 huffing out a massive 800 hp, the Vulcan is said to hit the 100 kph mark in about 3 seconds and max out at 320 kph. And complementing the power underneath the hood is a 6-speed sequential transmission. Also the car is built on a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis.

Aston Martin say that the Vulcan will be dedicated to the track. The car features driver-adjustable ABS, limited-slip differential and a magnesium torque tube with a carbon-fibre propeller shaft. You’ll also get carbon ceramic brakes, anti-roll bars and a variable traction control system.

The Vulcan will be built only in limited numbers, 24 to be exact, and is expected to cost more than AED 8 million. We should see a few make their way to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries.
