Infiniti has revealed details on the facelifted 2016 QX60 crossover ahead of its international debut which is slated for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this January.

The new QX60 receives a midlife facelift with a new front fascia which includes a revised honeycomb grille, reworked bumper and bi-xenon headlights which are integrated with the daytime running LED lights. New LED fog lights and a shark fin antenna are also among the cosmetic changes for 2016.

Under the hood, Infiniti retains the existing 3.5-litre V6 producing 265 hp and 336 Nm of torque from the outgoing version. But Infiniti will be introducing a new hybrid variant, with a 2.5-litre supercharged 4-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor. In all, it will put down a maximum of 250 hp and 329 Nm of torque. Standard variants will be front-wheel drive, but all-wheel-drive is optional on both variants.

The interior remains largely untouched, except for the addition of a new gear knob and added soft-touch materials. The crossover will also be fitted with a new tri-zone automatic climate control system and additional USB charging ports.

Additionally, Infiniti has incorporated new springs and shock absorbers to reduce body-roll, as well as retuned the power-steering system for added “responsiveness and feedback.” The crossover can also be equipped with the ‘Forward Emergency Braking’ and ‘Forward Collision Warning’ systems.

The facelifted Infiniti QX60 is expected to make it to the showrooms in UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC by the middle of next year.
