Brabus Widestar G-Class, now with more colour

The Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen, or the G-Wagon is undoubtedly the most iconic Merc around. A few months back, Mercedes-Benz came up with a Crazy Colour edition of the G-Class. Now Brabus, the German tuning firm, has tried their hand at adding more bling to the G and they’ve come up with the flashy Widestar edition.

Visually, a custom body kit is added to the G-Wagon. The colour chosen by Brabus is the Solar Beam yellow. The body work consists of a new hood with vents and carbon-fibre parts. A muscular front bumper is detailed with extra LED daytime running lights and more vents. The black tinted headlights, a roof spoiler and more vents on the rear fender are also a part of the kit. A set of 23-inch forged wheels shod with Yokohama tyres give it a wider stance.

In the interior, Alcantara can be found on the headliner while the seats are covered with black leather detailed with yellow stitching.

Brabus, as usual, has given the motor a tweak as well. Under the new hood, the 5.5-litre V8 is now upgraded to produce 700 hp. Sources from Brabus show that the torque figure is also hiked to 960 Nm. This mega power gives this 2550 kg behemoth some impressive pace. The 0-100 kph timing has been cut down to 4.9 seconds and the top speed is 240 kph, 30 kph more than the normal model.
