Honda CR-V 2017 redesign revealed

The 2017 Honda CR-V has been completely redesigned from the ground up, and it could just be the best version of the compact crossover yet.

The exterior offers a familiar design language that was introduced in the previous-generation CR-V, with their own take on the overly-common hexagonal grille and a new version of their pillar-mounted tail lights.

Featuring a 184 hp 2.4-litre 4-cylinder in lower-spec models and a 190 hp turbo 1.5-litre 4-cylinder in mid-spec and top trim levels, all mated to a CVT automatic and either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, the 2017 CR-V also offers what Honda claims to be class-leading cabin space and better interior materials.

On the tech front, Honda is offering a central touchscreen infotainment display, collision-mitigation braking, forward collision warning with pedestrian sensing, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.

The all-new American-built CR-V should be available in the UAE and GCC by the middle of next year.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Honda buyer guide.

  1. Front end inspiration from mitsubishi and tail light inspired from a volvo.. lol.

    • Yes agree..very Outlanderish Look…Interior seems to have improved..seems center part of dash will have soft leathery feeling. I like the touch screen.. a totally different design.

    • and the side profile likely looks Nissan Xtrai… But still overall looks good…

  2. Now lets wait for CX-5 and see how Mazda will make it’s facelift.. I hope they have the same CX-9 Turbo engine in it.. it would be a very sporty offering…

Really was hoping Honda will have a stronger Turbo in CR-V ( at least 40-50HP + 75Nm ) but HP raised by 6HP only and Torque actually is lower by 1.35Nm from 244Nm to 242.7Nm… I guess Honda was more interested in lowering fuel consumption… damn I hoped for a stronger Sport version ( better with saddle shifter )…

  3. Well nowadays in the automotive world , creativity became a rare occurrence in car design. I feel some times the designers are just copying and pasting from other cars to produce their facelifts and new models. Hope to see creativity and practicality soon:))))

  4. WHY both Toyota & Honda insist to be ugly ? including Lexus & Acura .
