Kia has given their mid-size SUV, Sorento, a mid-cycle facelift in its home market, South Korea. This refresh for the 2018 Sorento includes a bunch of subtle visual changes on the exterior as well as the interior. A new set of full-LED headlamps are accompanied by a set of “ice-cube” LED fog lights. The grill and the bumper are also tweaked a bit to complete the fascia update at the front.

At the back, the dual exhaust tips are now more angular. The LED tail lamps receive a mild treatment. A new pair of running boards and a new 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheel set gives the sides a zing.

The interior is spruced up with the addition of new tan-colored leather upholstery and a new steering wheel with a square centre, while the gearshift also gets a slight tweak. Kia’s latest infotainment system makes its way into the cabin of the 2018 Sorento.

The engine list on the Sorento includes a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre with 185 hp, a turbocharged 2.0-litre rated at 240 hp, and a naturally aspirated 3.3-liter V6 producing 290 hp.

The 2018 Kia Sorento facelift could possibly come to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries before the end of the year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Kia Sorento buyer guide.
