2019 Porsche Macan gets minor facelift and updates

Following its cousin, the 2019 Audi Q3, a new Porsche Macan arrives for 2019 with a few changes as part of a mid-cycle refresh. The Macan is the brand’s most successful model to date globally.

At the front, you’ll need a trained set of eyes to spot the differences. Some mild changes are made to the standard LED headlights and that’s about it. At the back though, there are some significant differences. The Macan now gets an LED strip for its tail lamps which is similar to that the new Panamera and the Cayenne. Some new paint shades are also offered along with the new 20 and 21-inch wheels.

The cabin of the 2019 Porsche Macan features a massive 11-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system which gets intelligent voice control and real-time traffic info. Another big change in the cabin is the 911-derived GT sports steering wheel which is an optional extra and comes with a built-in sports response button if you opt for the Sports Chrono Package. A special mobile app enables the Macan owners to record their off-road experiences.

The chassis of the 2019 Macan is tuned to improve ride quality and handling. The engines powering the 2019 models are not revealed yet but probably offer more power than the current lineup. A diesel our hybrid version is unlikely to happen this year.

China will receive the 2019 Porsche Macan first followed by the other countries. Expect a UAE and GCC debut by the end of the year.
