2020 Kia Sportage facelift revealed
Walking into a new model year, the 2020 Kia Sportage arrives with subtle updates inside out.
The 2020 Sportage gets a new chrome line on the lower fascia that bisects the driving lights. Slight tweaks have been made to the grill as well. The revised headlamps more get a new design LED turn indicators. At the rear, the tail lights, bumper and exhaust gets small modifications. A new grey paint gets added to the colour palette.
If you think that the exterior changes were too subtle, wait till you look at the interior. In the US, an 8-inch touch screen is now offered as standard with the LX, S and EX trims in which it gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Seats are upholstered in a new leatherette material. Small revisions are made to the steering wheel and the a/c outlets. Features like wireless charging, driver attention warning, lane keep assist, and smart cruise control with start-stop get added to the feature list. It is unclear how many of these options will be offered in the UAE and GCC.
The engine options remain the same, with the 181 hp 2.4-litre naturally aspirated engine and the 240 hp (237 hp in the AWD) continuing their stay under the hood of the 2020 Kia Sportage.
Expect the new model to reach GCC showrooms by the end of the year.
