The 2025 Chevrolet Captiva is a 7-seater compact SUV that quickly gained popularity in the region due to its features and affordability. It quickly became one of the brand’s best-selling models.

Exterior Design

The Captiva received a subtle facelift in 2024. Its sleek new grille design improves the car’s front appearance. The SUV is available in six different colours.

The base trim features halogen headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and front and rear fog lights. The top trim comes equipped with LED auto headlights and a panoramic sunroof. 

The “Premier Midnight Edition” trim has a black Chevy badge, red accents, black-painted rims and side mirrors and a two-tone black roof.

Interior Features and Technology

One of the main standout features of the Captiva is that it can accommodate seven passengers comfortably. The base’ LS’ trim offers a maximum of 1,050 litres of cargo space when all the seats are folded. The seats can be folded 60/40 in the second row and 50/50 in the third row.

Standard features include remote keyless entry, USB ports for all seats and a 3.5-inch Driver Information Centre. It gets a 10.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The upgraded ‘LS’ trim adds a 4-speaker audio system with Bluetooth and a Start-Stop button. 

The ‘Premier’ trim features a 7-inch Driver Information Centre, beige interiors, 6-way power-adjustable seats, Auto Climate Control,  and a 6-speaker audio system with Bluetooth for seamless smartphone connectivity.

Under the hood, the 2025 Chevrolet Captiva is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, delivering 144 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. With a fuel economy of 16.7 km/L, it offers competitive fuel efficiency for its class. The Captiva features a CVT transmission and a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration.

Safety Features

The Captiva has a decent suite of safety features. These include 6 airbags (front and sides), Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert and 360-degree Park Assist. 

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, ISOFIX, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Electric Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) further enhance safety.
