OMODA&JAECOO, a rising name in the smart mobility space, is preparing to launch its latest hybrid SUV, the JAECOO J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System), in the UAE by the end of August 2025. Designed with regional conditions in mind, the J7 SHS promises an EV-like driving experience, long range, and high-end safety and comfort, all without the need for external charging.

Super Hybrid, No Charging Required

The standout feature of the Jaecoo J7 SHS is its Super Hybrid System, which offers a pure EV driving range of up to 90 km and a total range of over 1,200 km (WLTP) on a single tank and charge. This makes it ideal for long-distance commuters and drivers frequently moving between Emirates, without relying on the UAE’s still-developing charging infrastructure.

With a claimed fuel consumption rating of just 3.1 L/100 km, the J7 SHS sets a new benchmark for efficiency in its class. Its hybrid logic enables electric drive in the city and fuel-powered backup on highways — a best-of-both-worlds formula tailored for the region.

Built for UAE Conditions

Engineered for extreme environments, the J7 SHS is capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -35°C to 60°C, making it suitable for the UAE’s harsh summer heat. Whether navigating urban traffic or long desert drives, it promises durability, comfort, and economical running costs.

Turbo-Hybrid Powertrain

Power comes from a fifth-generation 1.5TGDI turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with dual electric motors, producing a total output of 328 hp and 515 Nm of torque. This setup is managed by a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for gearless, seamless power delivery and quick acceleration.

Jaecoo J7 Five-Star Safety

The J7 SHS holds five-star safety ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP, featuring an advanced driver assistance suite that includes:

• Intelligent lane support

• Central curtain airbags

• Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection

• Battery power cut-off in 2 milliseconds post-collision
