2025 MG HS Hybrid+ launches in the Middle East with 1,287 km range

MG Motor has unveiled the all-new MG HS Hybrid+ in the Middle East, expanding its regional lineup with a new hybrid SUV that combines efficiency, performance, and technology. Prices start from around AED 85,000, depending on the market.

The HS Hybrid+ is the brand’s second hybrid model for the region, following the MG 8 Plug-in Hybrid sedan. It features a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 221 hp and 340 Nm of torque. The hybrid system switches automatically between electric and petrol modes, offering smooth performance and improved fuel economy, with a total driving range of up to 1,287 km.

Design highlights include a bold black grille with chrome accents, slim LED headlights, a full-width rear light bar, silver roof rails, and a sporty rear spoiler. Inside, the cabin is more upscale than before, featuring premium materials, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a crystal-style gear selector.

The dashboard houses a large 27-inch dual digital display setup that integrates the infotainment and driver information screens. Other features include wireless smartphone charging, built-in navigation, and MG Pilot — the brand’s driver-assistance suite, which offers Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and more. The HS Hybrid+ also carries a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The HS lineup continues to include two petrol-only variants: a 1.5T model with 173 hp and a 7-speed DCT, and a 2.0T version with 231 hp and a 9-speed automatic.

The MG HS has been one of the brand’s best-selling models globally and was previously named Middle East Car of the Year in 2020.

The new MG HS Hybrid+ is now available at MG showrooms across the Middle East with prices starting from USD 23,100 (approx. AED 85,000). The SUV is backed by a 6-year/200,000 km manufacturer warranty and an 8-year/200,000 km battery warranty.
