Ford Taurus launched in the Middle East with Updated Design, Hybrid Power, and Advanced Tech
Ford Middle East and North Africa has officially launched the new Ford Taurus across the region, marking the arrival of a comprehensively updated version of the brand’s long-running midsize sedan. Building on its established reputation in some GCC countries, the latest Taurus features refreshed styling, upgraded technology, and a choice of efficient powertrains aimed at regional customer preferences.
Visually, the new Taurus adopts a more contemporary design. Updates include redesigned front and rear fascias, revised headlamp graphics, new wheel designs, and the introduction of fresh exterior colours such as Hot Pepper Red and Vapor Blue. Inside, the cabin has been updated with new colour and material options, revised seat upholstery, and a redesigned centre console focused on improved comfort and modern appeal.
Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East and North Africa, said the new Taurus represents an important evolution for the nameplate, combining heritage with innovation to meet the expectations of Middle East and North African customers looking for a sedan that blends comfort, technology, and everyday practicality.
Under the bonnet, the new Ford Taurus offers a choice of two powertrains. The familiar 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and produces 239 hp and 382 Nm of torque. Buyers looking for greater efficiency can opt for a 1.5-litre hybrid powertrain, offering improved fuel economy while maintaining smooth and responsive performance for both urban driving and long-distance cruising.
Technology sees a major upgrade with the introduction of Ford’s latest SYNC 4A infotainment system, displayed on a 13.2-inch full-HD touchscreen, one of the largest in its segment. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range. Additional features include a 360-degree camera, now available from the base Ambiente trim, and a 10-speaker B&O premium sound system offered on the top-spec Titanium variant.

The Taurus continues to focus on interior space and comfort, making it suitable for families and daily commuting. Ventilated front seats are available from the Trend trim, while a dual-panel panoramic sunroof enhances cabin openness and ambience. Generous rear-seat space and a practical boot further strengthen its appeal as a long-distance cruiser.
Safety and driver assistance systems are comprehensive, with features such as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Cross-Traffic Alert, Intersection Pre-Collision Assist, and Emergency Steering Assist. The 360-degree camera further aids parking and low-speed manoeuvring.
Connectivity is enhanced through the FordPass app, available in select Middle East markets. The app allows owners to remotely start the vehicle, pre-condition the cabin, lock or unlock doors, activate the horn and lights, and monitor key vehicle information including fuel level, tyre pressure, odometer readings, and maintenance alerts.

Now available in showrooms across the Middle East and North Africa, the new Ford Taurus reinforces Ford’s commitment to offering a balanced sedan lineup, combining conventional EcoBoost powertrains with hybrid options that align with regional efficiency and sustainability goals.
