BYD Ti 7 plug-in hybrid SUV launched in the UAE

Al-Futtaim has introduced the all-new BYD Ti 7 plug-in hybrid SUV to the UAE market, expanding its electrified lineup with a lifestyle-focused model that combines off-road capability with long-range hybrid efficiency. The new SUV is now available for test drives across BYD showrooms in the UAE, with prices starting from AED 156,900.

DM-p hybrid powertrain with 480 hp

The BYD Ti 7 is powered by the brand’s DM-p (Dual Mode-performance) intelligent dual-motor all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system. It combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors to produce a total of 480 hp and 630 Nm of torque.

According to BYD, the Ti 7 can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 5.3 seconds while offering a combined driving range of up to 870 km (WLTC). The SUV can also travel up to 80 km in pure electric mode under the same testing cycle.

Built for on-road and off-road driving

The Ti 7 features all-wheel drive and comes equipped with BYD’s DiSus-C Intelligent Damping System, using a double wishbone independent front suspension and a five-link rear suspension.

Multiple terrain modes, including Mud, Sand, Snow and Mountain, are available, alongside features such as Tank Turn, Crawl Mode and Track Mode for more demanding off-road conditions.

Boxy styling with premium cabin

Visually, the Ti 7 adopts a rugged, boxy design inspired by what BYD calls its “Interstellar Ark” styling language. It features H-shaped LED headlights and distinctive full-width rear lighting.

Inside, the SUV includes a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Higher-spec Premium models add a 26-inch head-up display.

Other available features include a 14-speaker Dirac audio system, ventilated front and rear seats, massage and memory functions on higher trims, a 4.5-litre in-car refrigerator and a PM2.5 air purification system.

Safety and practicality

BYD says the Ti 7 has been engineered to achieve dual five-star safety ratings and is equipped with nine airbags, including a far-side front airbag.

The SUV also features the company’s DiPilot 5 driver assistance suite, offering systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Control and Tyre Deflation Stability Control. A 360-degree panoramic camera is also included.

Practicality is another focus, with more than 3.3 cubic metres of passenger space and up to 1,880 litres of cargo capacity when the rear seats are folded.

Available now in the UAE

The BYD Ti 7 plug-in hybrid SUV is now available across Al-Futtaim BYD UAE showrooms, with prices starting from AED 156,900. The model joins the brand’s growing range of electrified vehicles offered in the UAE market.
