Tesla Model Y L six-seater launched in UAE

Tesla has announced the Model Y L Premium for the UAE, a new six-seat version of the Model Y with three rows, a longer wheelbase and more cabin space. Prices start from AED 224,990, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2026.

Longer body and more cabin space

The Model Y L Premium is based on an extended version of the Model Y platform. Its wheelbase has been increased by 150 mm, while the overall length is up by 179 mm. Tesla says the changes allow for a more spacious three-row layout while retaining the familiar Model Y width.

The roof design has also been revised, adding 70 mm of headroom in the second row. Rear shoulder room is up by 20 mm, while larger rear doors and bigger rear quarter windows are intended to improve access and comfort for third-row passengers.

Six-seat layout and cargo capacity

Inside, the Model Y L Premium gets a six-seat configuration with second-row captain’s chairs. The seats in the second row offer heating, ventilation, 8-way power adjustment, powered armrests, one-touch folding and up to 125 degrees of recline. The third row also gets power recline, one-touch folding and dedicated climate control.

Tesla claims a maximum cargo capacity of 2,539 litres. With all six seats in use, the rear boot can still carry two large suitcases and one cabin-size trolley bag, while the front trunk can hold another cabin-size bag. Folding the third row flat increases luggage space further, with room for up to six large suitcases.

Features and interior equipment

The front seats are heated and ventilated and come with adjustable headrests and thigh cushion extenders. The dashboard features a 16-inch central touchscreen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, while the second row gets an 8-inch touchscreen for climate, gaming and entertainment functions.

Other standard equipment includes acoustic glass, 19-inch Machina 2.0 wheels, a 50W wireless fast charger with active cooling, charging ports for the rear rows, and a 19-speaker premium audio system.

Safety and driver assistance

The Model Y L Premium includes side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, along with dedicated third-row airbags. Tesla says reinforced floor beams and a new integrated die-cast rear underbody improve structural rigidity and reduce side-impact intrusion.

Driver assistance features include Autosteer, Traffic-Aware Cruise Control and automatic emergency braking. The vehicle is also hardware-ready for Full Self-Driving (Supervised), subject to availability and regional approval.

Range and performance

The Model Y L Premium has a claimed WLTP range of 681 km. Performance figures include a 0-100 kph time of 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 201 kph.

Tesla says the model also gets electronic damping and adaptive suspension, aimed at improving ride comfort while maintaining the driving characteristics expected from the Model Y.

The new Model Y L Premium is now available to order in the UAE from AED 224,990. Tesla says customers will also have access to its Supercharger network, which includes more than 220 Superchargers across the UAE.
