Dubai Police gets Nissan GT-R, Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG and Brabus G-Wagen


Dubai Police had their own stand at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, and had five cars on display, including a never-before-seen Nissan GT-R, an Audi R8 and a Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG. Interestingly, Brabus also announced that they’ve built a tuned police-livery Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, dubbed the B63S-700 Widestar, although it was conspicuously absent from both the Dubai Police and the Brabus stands.

Total recall: More manufacturers join the recall bandwagon


So if you thought that the crazy automobile recall saga had ended, you were wrong. Since our last post on the recalls earlier this year, there were an insane amount of recalls that followed, from almost every car manufacturer in the world you can ever think of, almost all of them being issued following instructions from the U.S.-based NHTSA agency. And we could not bother to post each recall issue as a separate story, the task being as equally tedious as the reader-response to these. For a little recap, the Audi TT in its current guise has been around in the GCC since 2007. The first generation was produced from 1999 to 2006, which impressed with its controversial shape, which while certainly different, was not to everyone’s taste. Still, several thousands were sold all over the world for the way it looked, if not for its notorious handling.
