From compact crossovers to full-size pickups and SUVs, AT4 models combine purposeful hardware upgrades with everyday usability, offering real capability straight from the showroom floor.

But alongside the combustion-powered AT4 range sits another kind of off-road force: the fully electric GMC Hummer EV. While it doesn’t wear the AT4 badge, it represents GMC’s most extreme interpretation of capability, redefining what an off-road vehicle can be in the electric era.

This is the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali. It is the Denali version of the Acadia. The Acadia is a stretched midsize crossover that debuted in 2008. The Denali nameplate signifies a more luxurious variant of a GMC. That ought to cover the introductions.

General Motors is voluntarily conducting a safety recall for 2009-2010 models of the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook, all variations of the same platform, to inspect second-row safety belts for damage that in rare cases could make an occupant think the belt is properly latched when it isn’t.

General Motors is recalling 1.5 million vehicles, across their Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer and other brands, because of a potential fire risk due to faulty heated windshield washer nozzles. This includes 22,500 cars in the Middle East, of which 6,000 are in the UAE.

General Motors has unveiled the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali in the United States, in time for the Detroit Auto Show. It is a natural extension of the Denali line, and finally offers up the Chevy Traverse’s upgraded engine in the Acadia.
