New 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer is coming
We exclusively found out that the all-new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer will be launched in August this year. In fact, many dealers are already stocking up on the new cars. We also have many other interesting details about this hot new car.
The 2008 Lancer coming here will be built in Japan, unlike the American-built Galant, and will feature a 105 hp 1.5-litre four-cylinder and a 150 hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder, both in an all-new body style.
The kicker is that the current old-style 2007 Lancer will still be available all the way till 2009, with the current 81 hp 1.3-litre four-cylinder and the 97 hp 1.6-litre four-cylinder motors.
This leads us to believe that the new Lancer will compete in price with the likes of the Civic and Corolla, while the value-packed old Lancer will continue to compete in price with sub-compacts such as the Yaris and the Tiida.

any idea of the performance of the 2.0lt 150bhp lancer? better than the civic??? what about mileage?? hope it comes in a manual tranny option

All Lancer engines slow (except EVO) and Civic is much better that 2.0 Lancer.

What about the new shape 2008 price? you said about the engine 1.6l =97hp but I’ve 2007 in egypt imported from U.A.E with (122hp)

122 hp is GROSS hp. 97 hp is NET hp. Outdated GROSS hp is used by marketers in the Middle East to advertise cars making it seem like it has higher power, since there are no rules here like in USA.
