The PrivatDrive Supercar Show is about to begin in Abu Dhabi at the Emirates Palace, from February 2 to February 4, 2007. The best part is the general public can enter for free, so all are invited. The event will be used to show off the Abu Dhabi numberplate “1″ (in the Code 5 category), before it makes its bid to become the most expensive numberplate in the world.

Plate “1” is expected to set a new Guinness World Record for the most expensive plate in the world when it goes under the hammer two weeks later at the ‘Emirates Auction Golden Auction’ on Feb. 16, 2008 at 4 p.m., also at Emirates Palace.

Emirates Auction already holds the records for the top six most expensive plates worldwide, followed by a Hong-Kong plate in seventh place. Along with “1,” a number of other sought-after license plates will be on parade at the show, including special numbers such as 100, 212 and 1111. We believe at least some of the money will be going to charity.

The 14 million dollars that was paid for the number “1″ plate, just shows how rich the oil people really are.
We pay such high prices for oil so they can live so high.
The world’s people can find another way to run our cars, and heat all the homes.
If we did not have to pay those oil rich Arabs for oil, then watch how fast they all kiss our asses.
    I am,

    George Vreeland Hill
