The Toyota stand at the 2009 Dubai Motor Show had some interesting variants of the Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser and Yaris on display, all of which will apparently go on sale as special editions in the UAE. Photos by Faisal Khatib.
The Land Cruiser Extreme, developed in collaboration with 4×4 specialists Arctic Truck, comes with huge 35-inch tyres on 17-inch wheels, a 40 mm suspension lift, uprated shock absorbers and muscular fender flares that widen the SUV further. The interior remains similar to the VX-R. It will retail for Dhs 306,000.
The FJ Stealth comes with a matte black paintjob, tinted windows, roof rack with lights, black alloy wheels, blacked-out front indicators and smoked rear lights. It will go for around Dhs 148,000.
The Yaris R hatchback looks to be a body kit package, with front, rear and side skirts, a rear spoiler, and slightly-smoked stock alloy wheels. It also looks like the Yaris sedan is available with a similar kit, but without the R designation. Expect the kits to add around Dhs 6,000 to the overall price of a Yaris.

if I ignore the LC’s lights, the fenders and tires look really good on it.
FJ Stealth. I like Matte black cars and I like the FJ’s design. With all those lights reflecting off the car, it kinda ruins the matte effect but I’m sure I’ll love it when I see it in person.

Its not manufactured, you can get it done at most good performance shops..Here in the UAE you got some good places in Al Quoz..You’ll have to hunt around in Bahrain though..

Well, Yaris R is an extra AED 6000 for visual modifications… Id rather they spent that amount on tweaking the engine, suspension and brakes and make it a compact sport hatch instead and then call it Yaris “R”.. At that time ill think if that car… The car handles fine in stock shape already…
I think the LC is way overpriced.
