Jaguar have just announced the F-Type Coupe will come in all-wheel drive as well from next year. It will make its official debut at the 2014 LA Auto Show this month.

Jaguar claims the AWD F-Type Coupe R, which has a 550 hp 5.0-litre supercharged engine, can do the 0-100 kph run in 4.1 seconds, which is slightly faster than the the rear-wheel drive version. Top speed is electronically limited to 300 kph.

The model range of the F-Type Coupe is also said to expand from 6 to 14 variants next year Jaguar confirms.

Jaguar also announced its collaboration with the British World Land Speed Record Team. The technological partnership between Jaguar and The Bloodhound Project aims to establish a land speed record of more than 1,609 kph in 2016 to beat the current record of 1,227 kph established back in 1997 by Andy Green in a Thrust SSC, who will also be driving the Bloodhound Supersonic car.

There is no confirmation yet if the AWD Jaguar F-Type Coupe will be available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.

  1. still doesnt mean that you can go on sand whether it is deep or not. this car will definitely get stucked out of road.

  2. AWD here doesn’t meant to go off-road with sport coup it means more traction and faster acceleration from idle

    • you can see the pictures of jaguar (above) going on the sand which tell the buyers that it has ability to go off-road. i think porsche did that also with panamera because i saw a rich guy with panamera (4 wheels drive) trying to show off other large pick-up trucks and suvs on the beach and suddenly got stucked in the sand.

  3. Can’t wait to see the car at the LA Car Show later. The fact that it comes with an all wheel drive option makes it even better!
