When Volkswagen first debuted the Passat CC, it turned quite a few heads. Not only because it looked good, but also the question of “why?”, especially as the CC version was priced higher than an already-existing Passat. Lucky for us at that time, Volkswagen decided to help us understand the “why” question and offered us the VW Passat CC V6 for 5 months. If you had been following our reports back in 2011, you would probably know we bloody fell in love with that car. Power, handling, comfort and luxury in a more stylish package — it ticked all the right boxes and justified the price premium over the standard Passat.

Sporting a gorgeous silhouette, the BMW 8-Series Concept debuted at the 2017 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Minus a few details, the concept should pretty much represent the production BMW 8-Series that is expected to hit markets in 2018. Resurrecting the “8-Series” moniker, an M8 version has also already been announced, with the prototype shown at the ‘Ring.

VLF resurrects Hummer H1 as Humvee C Series

The Hummer H1 was a mighty brute that offered the ruggedness of the military-spec Humvee to the general public. Though the Hummer brand was made mainstream by later-owners GM with the Hummer H2 and the smaller H3 that followed it, the H1 always retained that cult status. Hummer as a brand was shut down by GM during the last financial crisis. But now, 11 years after its demise, the H1 has been resurrected. Sort of.
