2009 Hummer H3T pickup in GCC soon

The 2009 Hummer H3T, which was revealed in the United States ages ago, has finally been given the go-ahead for a GCC launch in November this year, after months of testing in Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

The H3T is based on the architecture of the popular H3, but features a five-passenger crew cab and a separate 1.5-metre long bed. It is bigger than a midsize pick-up and smaller than a full-size pick-up, creating its own niche in the market. We reported on it earlier when it was first launched in America.

The problem is, while the 3.7-litre inline-5 is standard, there is no word on the V8 engine for the H3 and the H3T coming here anytime soon. Last we heard, the H3 Alpha V8 was being tested here. We proactively added the H3 Alpha in our guide, assuming some will make it here one way or the other.

  2. I thought hummer’s on its deathbed and they’re putting a new model in the line up? Anyway, I heard rumours that investors in UAE will buy hummer when GM decides to get rid of them cuz of their bad sales. is it true people?

GM is casually looking for a buyer for Hummer. Nothing concrete.

  4. Saw one today heading towards Arabian Ranches. Oddly enough it was in the same colour as the one featured here.
