2009 Nissan Murano
Nearly a year after its worldwide debut, Nissan has finally launched the all-new GCC-spec 2009 Nissan Murano in the UAE at a launch ceremony in Dubai.

The redesigned model is powered by an upgraded version of the previous engine, namely a 3.5-litre V6. Now, there is some confusion as to actual power rating of the engine. The American version has 265 hp and 336 Nm of torque. However, Nissan Middle East states that the GCC-spec model has 256 hp at 6000 rpm and 334 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm, which is identical to the European version.

The claimed performance numbers are now 0-100 kph in 8 seconds and a top speed of 208 kph. Fuel consumption is at 10.9 litres/100 km, partly thanks to a redesigned CVT transmission.

The Murano will now come in three trim levels. All Murano versions will get 18 inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, LED tail lamps, cruise control and an in-dash six-disc CD player with AUX socket for MP3 players. Also available are an intelligent Key with memory for the powered front seats and steering wheel, as well as a Bose audio system with 11 speakers, including a pair of Richbass woofers mounted in the spare-wheel well.

The Murano’s new interior is makes abundant use of soft-touch materials and upholstery trimmed in cloth or leather, aluminium detailing, six airbags and ambient mood lighting, along with available features such as auto climate-control, split 60/40 rear seats with powered raising function, power-operated tailgate, parking cameras for the front and rear, twin ‘top loader’ sunroof, navigation system, Bluetooth , and a DVD entertainment system.

The new Murano range soon goes on sale across the GCC during this month, priced between Dhs 130,000 and Dhs 160,000.

For more information, keep track of the model in the Nissan Murano buyer guide.

  1. 😯 the front is cool but the rear is like… santa fe or any korean car… and the price of the full option is like the basic price of armada 😯

  2. Navigation this couldn’t car producers hate promoting navigations even in more expensive cars in the middle east!!! 😎

  3. Nice looking small suv….
interior looks cool… 256 hp nice

  4. nice looking ssangyong! 😛

  5. yay! ok, the looks are all fine er, excpet for the back. sumthings gone wrong there. maybe the hatch window is too big or sumthin. interior is beautiful but y does the centre seatbelt for the rear seat hav to come from the freakin roof! I really wudnt want sumthin like tht and it cud possibly be a distraction in the rear view mirror…

  6. Whats the point of launching a car in advance, which will not be avialable in showrooms of nissan till 1 to 2 weeks later???In addition, nissan showrooms are informing that they cannot reveal the price range till 1 to 2 weeks later also, with 1 salesman telling me the unofficial approx price range (from 150,000AED to 170,000AED)?????????

  7. the car looks fine from the front, but the back gives it a cheap look..dont know how, but the all the interior adds are very nice. the price is high??? infiniti EX will kill it if it stayed in the 156K range???

  8. Previous model is far much better than this China korean Shape

  9. The marketing guy called to inform if i was willing to exchange 2008 murano with the new one. The price tag is unbelieveable 170K??????

    Why not buy Infinity!!!!!!!!!
The engine / chasis transmission etc seems to be the same, so what the heck!!

  10. front is nice but back shape is not soo cool, price range is high,

  11. I own Murano LE and it worth every penny I spent on it. Was never happier with any SUV I owned before.

For the rear view, they made it pretty much like the Rogue, some people they don’t even realize it is a Murano unless they pay attention to the size of the car.

And for the center seat belt, why would you worry about it coming from the roof ? You don’t need to turn your head back, the car is equiped with a back-up Camera !

I love the Navigation system and I adore its voice command system.

And not to forget the smart key and the seat going back, steering wheel going up to make away for you to enter or exit the car.

There is nothing like this Murano, not even Infiniti FX.

P.S For those who doesn’t know, Infinity is a Nissan make.
