Toyota Sequoia gets new limousine status in UAE

Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor for Toyota and Lexus across the UAE, has announced Toyota’s largest SUV, the new Sequoia has been awarded ‘limousine status’ by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai.

The Toyota Sequoia supposedly met the strict criteria set by the RTA that determines whether the size and level of comfort within the vehicle is suitable for a superior chauffeur-driven service.

Hugh Dickerson, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Al-Futtaim Motors, stated, “This is good news for the hospitality industry in Dubai. Hotels and tour companies can now offer their customers the superior comfort and style of Toyota’s biggest SUV. Launched earlier this year, the Sequoia was designed with the purpose of transporting large families and their luggage in stylish comfort.”

The Sequoia features the longest and widest interior space in its class, providing an exceptionally comfortable and relaxing space for up to eight passengers. Efficient packaging and design offers class-leading seating, knee, leg and head-room as well as the largest cargo-carrying capacity in its segment; easily re-configured to meet different passenger and luggage requirements.

Equally important is the efficient three-zone climate control system that ensures comfortable temperatures are achieved quickly throughout the cabin. The driver, front passenger and rear seat passengers all benefit from independent controls to ensure relaxed motoring during the hottest summer months.

Mr. Dickerson added, “All these features provide the perfect solution for chauffeuring large groups to the airport or touring the Emirates in the highest level of comfort.”

The Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City is the first hotel to engage the Sequoia in its new role as a limousine offering business guests the chauffeur driven service direct to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), but not Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).
