Audi A8 2011 officially unveiled

2010 Audi A8
The all-new 2011 Audi A8 has been officially unveiled in the United States. Looking exactly like a stretched version of the A4, the A8 does not hold any surprises.

At launch, the new 2011 A8 will only be available with a 4.2-litre “FSI” V8, generating a middling 372 hp with 445 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. It does the 0-100 kph acceleration run in 5.7 seconds, with an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kph. Standard are a new 8-speed automatic control, quattro all-wheel-drive and an optional “sport” differential.

There are no major technological advancements with the new A8, carrying over previous features such as the aluminium body, MMI multimedia system, pre-crash safety system, vented massage seats and the lot. Features new to the A8 include those goofy LED lining up front, with full LED headlights available optionally, as well as night vision, 19-speaker 1400W stereo, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering and adaptive air suspension.

If you fancy this underwhelming limousine, expect the 2011 Audi A8 to hit the streets of the UAE and GCC sometime after the summer of 2010. Keep track of updates in the Audi A8 buyer guide.

  1. nice looking car..

  2. such an ugly car!!
cmon this is just an xtended version of an A4 .
it has no distinct styling or nething!
    interior is quite nice though..

  3. Urgh…it does indeed look like a stretched A4….those Audi designers need a vacation!! A long one that is….

  4. You know, if they force their engineers to develop a same car for 1/2 the price they couldve possibly made it more creatively… They just overdo things and end up ruining it sometimes but their brand loyalty is strong and nobody cares as long as its Audi..

  5. Btu the interior is quite sexy!!

  6. This is nothing compared to the bmw 7 series or the merc s-class

  7. did not like it at all!
i would prefer BMW 7 series anytime than the Audi A,
i was expecting alot more from Audi from the A8!
    disappointed!
