Peugeot 308 CC, 3008 & RCZ in UAE debut

2010 Peugeot RC-Z
Peugeot introduced three all-new models at a pre-launch event for the UAE, held on the occasion of the 2009 Dubai Motor Show. The Peugeot 308 CC convertible, the Peugeot 2008 crossover and the Peugeot RCZ coupe will go on sale in the GCC by the end of the first quarter of 2010.

2010 Peugeot 308 CC

The Peugeot 308 CC is the drop-top version of the 308 hatchback, and a replacement for the 307 CC. It features a folding hard-top convertible roof. It is powered by a 156 hp 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, likely mated to only an automatic for this region. It can seat two adults and two teenagers.

2010 Peugeot 3008

The Peugeot 3008 is the very definition of a crossover, with its tall shape and vaguely fitting in between a compact 4×4 and a hatchback. It features a random selection of tech, with front-wheel-drive, terrain selection system for better traction in rain and mud, heads-up display, rear DVD screens, electronic parking brake and even a multi-level cargo boot. On first look, the cabin is tall, but has only as much legroom as a compact car, and trim quality similar to that of midsize cars, with a soft-touch dash, padded handles and hard-plastic lower door panels. It is powered by a 156 hp 1.6-litre turbo 4-cylinder, and will come with an automatic for this region, although a manual was displayed at the event.

2010 Peugeot RCZ

The Peugeot RCZ is a sporting coupe that borders on the premium, with massive alloys, a swoopy shape, sporty front bucket seats, leather dashboard and door trim, and useless rear seats. The one on display was a pre-production prototype, and the production RCZ will be powered by either a 156 hp 1.6-litre turbo or an optional 200 hp version of the same engine, possibly with a manual gearbox.

Additionally, the Peugeot 908 HDi diesel-powered Le Mans race car will be displayed at the Dubai Motor Show, to celebrate its win over competitors such as Aston Martin and Audi.

The 308 CC, 3008 and RCZ will take a few months to go on sale officially. Keep track of updates in the Peugeot buyer guide.

Comments

  1. RCZ looks awsome

  2. The 1.6T would sort of be underpowered I feel for the RCZ, more people would go for the 200 horses. The 3008 looks good, but again, not a powerful enough engine to boot.

  3. Awesome exterior and interior. RCZ kicks ass.

  4. peugeot look good in appearance, but built quality still not up to german standard

  5. I think the RCZ will be a hit..

  6. This is why they call it a French Standard Jim, or else Peugeot would loose its identity as a French manufacturer…don’t you think…

the RCZ looks good, and should be a fun drive at 200. remap the ECU upgrade the Turbo, yank out the Cat and reconfigure the intake and exhaust manifold and you’re looking to closer to 300hp which should be more than enough… but then why go through the hassle, buy a TT RS…that one is German

  7. Is there a Possiblle RCZ CC ?

  8. What is the price range for the RCZ?

  9. Cette RCZ est une superbe realisation du constructeur francais. Try it and enjoy it !
