Nissan Murano 2011 gets a facelift in Europe

The current generation of the Nissan Murano has been out for a year now in the GCC, and is a rather rare sight on Dubai roads, partly due to an massive increase in price and partly because that increase came in the middle of the worst recession ever. However, the newly-premium Murano had actually debuted two years ago in Europe, so their version has received a facelift for 2011.

The facelift seems to only involve a very aggressive new front bumper and new wheels. The only other bit of news for the Europeans is a new 190 hp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with 450 Nm of torque, which will not available in the UAE. It is unknown if the visual update will become available in this region, as the new bumper was apparently designed to better cool the diesel motor specifically.

The 2011 Murano will come now with available 20-inch alloy wheels, power tailgate and colour rear and kerbside cameras, navigation system with 7-inch touchscreen, 9.3GB hard-drive music server, iPod port, Bluetooth, AUX connectivity, a premium 11-speaker BOSE system, optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system, xenon headlights, cruise control and electrically-folding rear seats.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Nissan Murano buyer guide.

What do you think?

  1. Lot of improvements. But still overpriced. Ford Edge steals the deal here, but again I don’t see new Edges anymore, small crossovers like Tucson, Sportage and Qasqai have gone on to become massive hit and stealing the sales of their own big brothers and saloons.

  2. I my view the new bumper and wheels have given it a more sporty look but the guys at the studio seriously need to reconsider the main grille design.

  3. I dont see anything wrong with the grille…. if you look at it long enough, you will start to like it….

  4. more ugly!!!

  5. It does look nice… with certain colors… I agree with Mr. Rajeesh

  6. Its like if i look at my GF in certain dress or make up i start liking her … or may be if i lOOk at her long enough i start liking her.. u can’t take this much time to decide

  7. The people who bought this car just last year will be disappointed.
It is too soon to facelift a new model. This is worst than re-call as the owners can’t be compensated!

I would be very angry if I knew that my new model SUV is no longer the latest model.

  9. hey cayanide ,do u just go to the showrooma nd buy the car ,or do u investigate its features and looks ,,landcruiser new shape was said as a flop bcos of its look ,but u see it eveywhere,

  10. Do the GCC specs meet USA standards? If not what would i have to modify to take this car back to the USA?

  11. Can this car be exported to the USA with GCC specs or will it be rejected OR will expensive modifications need to be made for it to be approved for use in USA? I really like this car but do not want to be stuck with a car I can not take back home with me. PLEASE REPLY IF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS TOPIC

  12. I want to help my car Nissan Murano 2011 Model maintained summit extract the new key. Engine is running and I was not moving. Want to know why
