Available at all Moosa showrooms across Oman, ‘the big size SUV’ Yukon range comes with a standard 5-year, unlimited kilometre warranty but during the ongoing Moosa’s special customer promotion, the GMC range is now available with additional value on all models at no extra cost.

Customer benefits now include free 40,000 km service over two years, five years unlimited km warranty, 500 litres of petrol, complimentary registration on all models, 3 M sun control film on all models and two special gifts for the family. As an additional value offer, these vehicles will be serviced at intervals of 10,000 kms.

The power trains available include the standard 5.3-litre, V8 SFI engine with Active Fuel Management and an optional 6.0-litre V8 SFI unit with Variable Valve Timing. Coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission as standard, the new power units add extra efficiency to an already comprehensive package of performance, safety and comfort.

Both engines use advanced technologies and lightweight materials, including an aluminium cylinder block, that help deliver some serious performance figures. The 5.3-litre variant generates 310 hp (net) at 5,200 rpm and 454 Nm (net) of torque at 4,400, while the 6.0-litre pumps out 352 hp (net) at 5,400 rpm and 518 Nm (net) of torque at 4,200 rpm.

The Yukon and Yukon XL are based on GM’s well-known, full-size SUV platform and feature distinctive styling, spacious and refined interiors, exceptional driving characteristics and segment-leading safety features.

The Yukon rides on a 2,946 mm wheelbase, with an overall length of 5,130 mm. It is designed with a wider track that, along with the long wheelbase, provides a smooth drive. Meanwhile, the Yukon XL has lateral exterior dimensions similar to its shorter-wheelbase equivalent, but is 355 mm longer in wheelbase and 508 mm longer in overall length. Both of these variants are available in the cloth-trimmed SLE and leather SLT.

A third-row seat is standard on all Yukon models, which also offer an industry-exclusive power fold-and-tumble second-row seat feature that eases access to third-row seats.

Remote start is available, allowing the climate system to cool the vehicle’s interior prior to use. A wide array of audio, infotainment and safety options are available that include a music and entertainment system featuring an AM/FM stereo with six-change, MP3-compatible CD player and USB port. Sensors located at the front of the vehicle, in the side doors, and within the occupant compartment provide increased and more immediate crash detection. The vehicle’s sensing system deploys front-seat safety belt pretensioners during certain rear-end collisions, enhancing the belt system’s ability to hold the occupants firmly in place.
