Roush reveals 2013 Stage 3 Mustang

Roush Performance, the aftermarket tuning company specialised in Ford vehicles, has revealed the all-new 2013 Stage 3 Roush Mustang, featuring meaner looks and indomitable performance compared to its Ford counterpart.

The Roush Mustang, essentially a Ford Mustang 5.0 with the Stage 3 kit from Roush, features the same 5.0-litre V8 engine found in the original Ford Mustang V8, coupled with Roush’s 2.3-litre Eaton TVS supercharger with new intake manifolds, intercooler, radiator, air induction system and custom ecu mapping, all resulting in a colossal 565 hp and 685 Nm of torque. The kit also features an improved suspension system with new front struts, rear shocks, new front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers, thus offering improved handling characteristics than the original Ford Mustang GT. There are four optional brake packages offered, namely red two-piston sport, red four-piston performance, black four-piston performance or six-piston competition.

The exterior cosmetic changes include aggressively-styled front and rear bumpers, corner fascia aero pockets with driving lamps and front chin splitter, hood scoop, optional choice of two different 20-inch wheel options in chrome or hyper black, and a new rear aero valance with race-inspired diffusers and integrating dual-chambered chrome exhaust tips. Interior styling features new custom gauge clusters, embroidered badging on floor mats, Roush centre-console button, dash medallion and a “Jack Roush” signature graphic on the dash, Stage 3 embroidered leather seating, Roush illuminated sill plates on cars equipped with ambient lighting, and a lot more.

The Roush Stage 3 kit for the Mustang GT is priced at an equivalent of over Dhs 60,500 in the States, obviously in addition to the cost of the car itself. For those with smaller pockets, the Stage 1 kit offering only cosmetic upgrades, and the Stage 2 kit offering both cosmetic and suspension upgrades, are available. Warranty is offered on all parts by Roush Performance themselves. The 2013 Roush Mustang is expected to hit U.S. showrooms by end of this month, while the Roush Mustang-lovers in the UAE might have to wait a little further before it shows up in the local Ford dealerships.
