Jaguar XK 2013 line-up gets new trims and options

Jaguar has expanded the 2013 XK line-up by offering a Touring trim for both the XK Coupe and Convertible models, at the lowest price point.

Powered by the same 5.0-litre V8 motor found in the regular XK Coupe and Convertible, and treated with the Aero package, the 2013 Jaguar XK Touring trim is a single-spec model, with the customer having to choose only the exterior and interior colors. It comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a 525-watt Jaguar Premium sound system with satellite radio, keyless entry and start, reverse-park camera with parking sensors, auto-dimming power-folding exterior mirrors and a multi-function steering wheel.

On the other hand, the Jaguar XK and XKR models now get 20-inch alloys as standard for 2013. The all-new Portfolio Pack for the XK and XKR offers several custom interior and exterior visual upgrades, which include chrome mirror caps, chrome-mesh grille, choice of five premium colors for the exterior and seven colors for the XK Convertible’s soft-top, choice of two exclusive interior themes, stainless-steel pedals, door-sill scuff plates, leather trimmed floor mats, and a handcrafted leather headliner made by Poltrona Frau, a renowned Italian furniture maker.

The Dynamic Pack option, previously available for only the Jaguar XKR Coupe, is now offered on the Jaguar XKR Convertible models too. The Dynamic pack comprise of retuned suspension for better handling, besides adding aerodynamic enhancements and unlocking a top-speed of about 280 kph.

The high-end performer in the XK line-up, the Jaguar XKR-S, will be offered in both Coupe and Convertible variants, in limited numbers – 100 each. The 5.0-litre V8 engine powering the XK series, is coupled to a supercharger for a massive 550 hp and 680 Nm of torque, and sends the XKR-S from 0 to 100 in just 4.2 seconds, before topping out at 300 kph.

Expect the new models to reach UAE, Saudi and other GCC markets by the end of the year.

Keep track of GCC updates in the Jaguar XK buyer guide.
