2014 Renault Megane gets a minor facelift and new features

2014 Renault Megane
Renault’s flagship hatchback, the Megane is receiving an update for 2014 as it inherits a small cosmetic surgery to the front and also a host of new features before it officially hits the market. The facelifted Renault Megane was shown off at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show a few weeks back.

All variants; the Megane Hatch, Coupe and the Sport Tourer will benefit from the refresh. They will now feature a new bumper with new vent grilles and a new hood bearing an enlarged Renault logo set against a gloss black background. The models also get the new elliptical headlights and new daytime running lights that stretch along the outer edges of the bumper.

The Mégane is also the first in the line-up to be fitted with the 130 hp engine mated to the EDC (dual-clutch) transmission. Apart from that, there’s not much information on the engine yet.

We’re also not sure when the 2014 Megane will take over the current model in UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC. But, we’ll keep you posted on any further news on the Renault Megane.

Keep track of updates and prices in the Renault Megane buyer guide.
