Ford have officially revealed the 2016 Taurus at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. Taurus is the latest vehicle delivered as part of Ford’s commitment to bringing 15 new models to China by 2015.

Looking at the exterior, you can notice the new Taurus shares many of the design cues of the current Fusion. It gets 19-inch 10-spoke design alloy rims, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights.

The interior gets a panoramic sunroof, 25 “intelligent” storage spaces and increased leg room at the back. Power-reclining rear seats have been added with optional adjustable lumbar support and a massage function.

Under the hood, a new turbocharged 2.7-litre V6 Ecoboost engine is present, but Ford have yet to reveal the power stats of the motor.

It is still not known if this version of the Taurus is just for the Chinese market or for other countries as well. If it does come to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries, it will be sometime early next year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Ford Taurus buyer guide.

Comments

  1. Sorry for the off topic comment, but can we expect a 2015 Mustang road test soon?

  2. would be interesting to see how it looks from the rear

    • They didn’t release any official rear photos for some reason, but auto-show photos are there. Just imagine an Audi A6.

  3. Sticking with ‘One Ford’ strategy, this should be a global model

  4. i dont know why ford are making their engines smaller.

  5. New Fords have started looking and feeling upscale.

  6. Sleek and elegant now

  7. I liked the previous design much better, the square edged type, used to give an american feel to it. Now it just looks like another version of Hyundai Genesis…not that its bad, but Taurus was unique in the way it looked, now it looks common

  8. This car hardly sells.
