Fiat has officially revealed the 2016 500 facelift. The current generation has been running for the last 8 years.

Fiat claim they did 1,800 changes to the car, however visually it is not so easily noticeable. The front fascia gets newly shaped headlights and a circular LED daytime running lights design. The taillights also get a redesign. More chrome bits have added around the exterior as well. New designs for the 15-inch and 16-inch alloy-wheels have been added too.

Inside, the 500 gets the UConnect infotainment system, featuring a 5-inch touchscreen in the Lounge model, with an optional 7-inch screen for the instrument cluster available as well. There are new upholstery options, with tweaks made to the centre console and cup holders. More sound deadening materials have been added to reduce cabin noise.

Engines on offer include the 69 hp 1.2 litre and turbocharged 0.9-litre engine, available with 85 hp and 105 hp.

Expect the 2016 Fiat 500 facelift to arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and other GCC countries sometime early next year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Fiat 500 buyer guide.
