Ahead of its reveal next week, pictures have come up online of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic completely undisguised.

The pictures of the car were snapped by a member of the CivicX forums, which was parked somewhere around Michigan, US. The Civic Coupe concept was first revealed at this year’s New York Auto Show in April, and then a few weeks later drawings from patent fillings were leaked of the both the coupe and sedan. From the looks of it, Honda has remained true to those leaked patent designs.

The Japanese brand has revealed one of the engines that will be available for the new Civic, which is a turbocharged 4-cylinder 1.5-litre motor with direct injection, mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

Safety features for the tenth-generation Civic include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Honda LaneWatch technologies.

The 2016 Honda Civic should make it to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by early next year, possibly as a 2017 model.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Honda Civic buyer guide.

  1. Interesting design, not so much revolutionary as compared to current design, but does look revolutionary. The notchback style is interesting, so is it a true notchback?

  2. The leader is back!! Sorry Koreans!

    • Hope I hear you say that when you hear its price, the current model fully loaded is reaching to Accord and Camry territory, this I guess will be more expensive, I’m expecting the fully loaded version to cost around 90K, which can buy you a fully loaded Sonata, a bigger car with a lot of more features, if you want to compare to Koreans from same category, then you will save at least 20K if you buy Elantra for example, I’m not saying it is a bad car, in fact it is really nice, but Civic prices here in UAE, even since the old shape are exaggerated and much more higher than competition

    • I’d like to see how the Chinese build quality holds up…that is if it’s going to be built along side the Accord.

  3. I can’t wait for this beauty !

  4. honda has clearly lost the originality in their design that they used to have. When audi, mazda, ford, kia, hyundai and the likes are instantly recognizable by their design language, hondas are clearly left behind.

looks like every model is designed by a department that does not coordinate with others.

  5. feels like honda is permanently updating the civic..

i would be annoyed as an owner to see new ones being lunched to frequently..

    maybe just a mis-perception..

  6. You people are so stupid. Koreans are cheap cus they use all cheap material. Sit in a mid size korean and it’ll have more road noise than a civic or a corolla. I’ve seen so many sonatos (new shape) making horrible rattling noises at idle. I’m sure that wasn’t intended to happen ?. Reliability ? Yeah that has a price and which is why civic priceis justified compared to a Korean car
