2017 Ford Fusion facelift revealed in Detroit
The 2017 Ford Fusion got a facelift, along with a new V6 Sport model, which was revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
Under the hood, the Fusion Sport will get a twin-turbocharged 2.7-litre V6 Ecoboost engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This is good enough to produce 325 hp and 474 Nm of torque, higher than all their main rivals in this segment.
Another major performance benefits are an all-wheel drive system and continuously controlled damping suspension.
Visually, the Fusion Sport gets large 19-inch wheels, blacked-out grille, and quad exhaust tips.
Ford has also added a new top Fusion Platinum variant. It comes with a different front grille finished in Magnetic paint, 19-inch polished wheels, and antiqued Cocoa & Venetian leathers. For the engine, it will get the turbocharged 2.0-litre Ecoboost motor, connected to an all-wheel-drive setup.
All models will also benefit from Ford’s latest SYNC 3 infotainment system.
Expect the 2017 Ford Fusion to reach UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and other GCC countries before the end of the year.
