BMW M3 CS is most aggressive version yet

BMWs have always been known for their involving driving experience that earned them the name “the ultimate driving machine”, even if it started off as a marketing tagline. And when it comes to fast beemers, the BMW M3 is one of the most well-known. The engineers from Bavaria have decided to sharpen this tool even further with the M3 CS.

The M3 CS is a faster and lighter version of the normal M3. Starting off with a diet, the M3 CS shaves off 49 kg from the standard M3. The lightweight forged alloy wheels that the CS runs on contributes to this saving.

It’s not just the scales that BMW engineers had their eyes on when they conceived this car. The M3 CS is given a good exterior makeover. The front fascia is now sharper with gaping vents at the centre as well on either side. At the bottom, a new carbon fiber front splitter is fitted. The hood is more muscular than the one on the standard car.

All this is complimented well by the 453 hp and 600 Nm of torque coming from the turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine that resides under its hood. This engine produces 28 hp more than the standard M3. Adding all this up, the CS can now scream from 0 to 100 kph in just under 4 seconds. The top speed is limited to 280 kph. A seven-speed dual clutch gearbox paired to an electronic M-slip differential handles all this power. BMW also fits the M3 CS with a dual-branch sports exhaust system in order to ensure a well-announced arrival.

Just 1200 examples of the BMW M3 CS sedan will be made and deliveries will begin from May 2018. It should become available at UAE, KSA and other GCC dealers soon.
