2020 Mitsubishi ASX gets a facelift
The 2020 Mitsubishi ASX arrives with quite a big facelift job. Though the visual updates are huge, this ASX has not entered its next generation, yet.
Mitsubishi’s latest Dynamic Shield front design language dominates the front with massive chrome lines flanking the new headlamps and grill. Underneath, It gets new silver skid plates. At the rear, there only minor updates.
Inside, there is a new 8-inch touchscreen with TomTom Navigation with real-time traffic information. A smartphone app to display vehicle information will be rolled out soon.
Powering the ASX will be a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a CVT or a 5-speed manual gearbox. Mitsubishi said nothing about the power outputs but in the current model, the same combo produces 148 hp and 197 Nm of torque.
The 2020 Mitsubishi ASX will make its public debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Thank God Mitsubishi have given this car an update as it was terribly long in the tooth remaining in the market for almost a decade. The front now looks more convincing to the eye with the Eclipse Cross inspired grille, head lamps and the chrome garnish surrounding it. It all merges to give the car a more butch appeal on the road. I would have liked if such changes were made to the rear rather than just tweaking the tail lights. That does not stand with the otherwise elegant design. Please show some shots of the interior.
The current engine do an acceptable job in terms of performace and refinement so it’s actually a good decision that they decided to carry forward the same 2.0L engine. However, if it was offered in the higher state of tune to produce 250 Nm of torque, consumers would’ve surely appreciated the treat.
