2019 Toyota RAV-4 released in UAE & KSA

The all-new Toyota RAV-4 has released in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and should release in the rest of the GCC in the next few days. The UAE and KSA get different base engines, while a hybrid RAV-4 model has been introduced in the line-up for the first time.

In the UAE, the standard engine available on the RAV-4 is a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This produces about 203 hp and 243 Nm of torque. For the Saudi market, the base model gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a CVT. This motor produces 170 hp and 207 Nm of torque. Both markets will get the hybrid model which comes with a 2.5-litre engine coupled with an electric motor. Power is delivered via a CVT. The combined output of the hybrid system is 219 hp and 342 Nm of torque.

Standard features in the new RAV-4 include power windows, power side mirrors, fabric seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels. In the UAE, the infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen is standard, as well as a rearview camera and rear A/C ducts, whereas in Saudi Arabia, it comes only in the higher trims. The top models get a moonroof, LED fog lamps and leather seats.

For the UAE market, seven airbags are standard across the lineup, which includes side curtain and knee airbags. In KSA, seven airbags are only available in the higher trims. Also standard for the UAE are ABS, stability control and traction control, whereas in Saudi Arabia, these are not available in the base model.

The 2019 Toyota RAV-4 starts off at AED 99,000 in the UAE while in Saudi Arabia, the starting price is SAR 91,770. It should be arriving in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain in the coming few days.

  1. The Rav4 design seem to be going downhill for the past couple of iterations.

    This one looks like a hash up of Tucson, Outlander and Tiguan.

  3. This new Toyota Rav4 is a total copy of the Koreans at least the exterior. Toyota is really not coming up with new ideas at all. I have driven the 2019 Rush myself & it is a mediocre & very basic car to drive . RAV4 priced @ 99,000 AED for the basic package one can get a better car & better options from rivals. Koreans any day for me ….
