2024 Nissan GT-R Nismo

2024 Nissan GT-R continues the godzilla’s run for another year

Why fix it if it ain’t broken? With the 2024 Nissan GT-R Premium T-Spec and Nismo Special Editions breaking cover in Japan, Nissan fortifies their allegiance to this colloquial saying. Despite some Godzilla fans on the internet constantly telling them off for not launching the long-awaited R36 GT-R, they have chosen to soldier on with the R35 GT-R.

2024 GT-R design

You may have to squint your eyes hard for this. The design changes on the 2024 Nissan GT-R are too inconspicuous to spot. There are minor changes to the grill and the remaining bits that make up the front end. These changes come in intending to improve aerodynamics. The updates under the skin are also minimal, but as Nissan claims, they are good enough to offer a more comfortable ride and reduce noise and vibration.

2024 Nissan GT-R Engine specifications

Of course, the heart of the GT-R is still untouched. The twin-turbo fed 3.8-litre V6 engine still produces 562 hp in the 2024 Nissan GT-R. The power stays the same in the Nismo version, at 591 hp.

Nissan GT-R Nismo Special Edition

The 2024 Nissan GT-R also gets a Nismo Special Edition, which retains the same output. In this special model, Nissan packs more aerodynamic updates and a specially tuned suspension. It also gains a mechanical limited-slip differential on the front axle. Visually, it stands out with its carbon Nismo hood and special carbon black Recaro seats.

T-Spec

Another special edition of the 2024 Nissan GT-R is the T-spec. It uses the lower spec engine, rated for 562 hp but with special updates on the suspension front and unique carbon disc brakes.

Despite the growing calls for an all-new R36 GT-R, it looks like the R35 GT-R will stick around, at least in Japan. The international aspirations of the 2024 Nissan GT-R are not clear yet.
