Arctic Trucks reveals extreme Toyota Land Cruiser Prado AT37

To mark 40 years since the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado first entered global markets, Arctic Trucks has revealed its most capable version yet — the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado AT37. The modified SUV showcases a host of mechanical and design upgrades that bring extreme off-road capability to the latest generation of the Land Cruiser platform.

Built in collaboration between Arctic Trucks International in Iceland, the UK division, and Toyota Africa distributor CFAO, the AT37 is designed to blend daily drivability with extreme off-road performance. With its massive 37-inch tyres, fully re-engineered suspension, and signature wide-body styling, the new Prado AT37 is set to be offered across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa starting Q2 2025.

What is the AT37?

The “37” in AT37 refers to the massive 37×12.50 R17 BFGoodrich tyres that define the vehicle’s look and capability. Buyers will have the option of All-Terrain T/A KO3 or Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 rubber, wrapped around newly developed retro-style forged ‘Heritage’ wheels with dual-valve functionality for easy air pressure control in off-road situations.

The vehicle gets a custom-developed 2-way adjustable suspension system by R53, Dakar rally suspension specialists. The system has longer-travel coilovers, upgraded dampers, and matched springs, resulting in a 40 mm lift. The setup is built for durability and optimised oil flow under high-stress driving conditions, whether crawling over rocks or cruising highways.

Arctic Trucks has completely modified the body and chassis, extending the wheelbase and widening the track to accommodate the massive tyres while maintaining a relatively low centre of gravity. This ensures that the Prado AT37 handles tarmac well enough yet can confidently take on snow, sand, and mud.

Rugged exterior with expedition-ready detailing

Visually, the Land Cruiser AT37 features bespoke wide-body fender flares with integrated recesses for central tyre inflation systems, redesigned Arctic Trucks side steps with extruded aluminium construction, and new contoured mud guards for added protection during serious off-road work.

Finishing touches include distinctive Arctic Trucks badging in black and lava red, special interior trim pieces, and a rear 2-inch multifunction hitch receiver, ready to mount tow balls, winches, gear carriers, or even barbeque setups for adventure travel.

Interior and equipment

Inside, the upgrades are subtle but purposeful, with Arctic Trucks-branded mats, sill plates, and gear selector trim. Depending on the regional trim level, all AT37 models will retain the Land Cruiser Prado’s full range of features and support passenger and commercial configurations.

Toyota’s electronic systems — including TPMS and safety tech — are recalibrated to suit the larger wheels and revised geometry. Arctic Trucks also includes a Certificate of Authenticity, locking wheel nuts, and a torque wrench with every vehicle.

Arctic Trucks Land Cruiser Prado AT37 availability

The Arctic Trucks Land Cruiser Prado AT37 will be available through official Toyota dealerships or as direct conversions, with availability rolling out across multiple global regions from Q2 2025. It will be compatible with all engine and transmission options offered on the standard Land Cruiser Prado, ensuring flexibility for both fleet buyers and private adventurers.

No confirmation yet whether it will be available in the GCC. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is extremely popular in this region, so a few should make it to this part of the world.
