JAECOO J5 to Launch in UAE in July
JAECOO, the lifestyle off-road sub-brand under the OMODA & JAECOO umbrella, is officially bringing the all-new JAECOO J5 to the UAE this July. First revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April, the J5 marks the brand’s UAE debut and aims to carve out a niche among urban adventurers and weekend explorers.
Positioned as a light off-road SUV with a focus on premium design and outdoor versatility, the J5 promises to blend rugged capability with refined aesthetics. The bold exterior features include a vertical “waterfall” grille, muscular ridge lines across the body, and an integrated rear spoiler.
JAECOO says the J5 is inspired by natural elements like snow-capped mountains and flowing rivers, and that design philosophy carries through to the cabin, which will reportedly offer a nature-meets-tech interior layout. Features such as an in-car microphone and karaoke mode suggest a family-friendly focus, particularly for long drives or road trips.
Under the hood, the J5 sits on a new powertrain platform, with the brand promising enough power for both on tarmac and light off-road trails. No exact specifications for the UAE market have been confirmed yet, but performance is expected to cater to both daily commutes and occasional desert escapes.

“The JAECOO J5 is more than a vehicle; it’s a lifestyle statement for today’s generation of freedom seekers,” said Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA & JAECOO Automobile International. “It’s engineered to fulfill a growing longing for nature and freedom in the midst of urban hustle, and we are proud to bring that vision to the UAE.”
JAECOO is targeting a younger, experience-driven audience with the J5, reflecting a trend seen among other new entrants from China. The brand claims the vehicle offers a “new standard of off-road elegance” and positions it as a versatile option for drivers seeking both style and capability.
Customers in the UAE can get an early preview of the JAECOO J5 through test drives, which will be available at official JAECOO showrooms across the country starting at the end of June 2025. Pricing and full specs will likely be announced closer to the launch date.
