All-New Chevrolet Captiva EV and Plug-In Hybrid Debut in the Middle East
Chevrolet has expanded its Captiva lineup in the Middle East with the introduction of two electrified models — the Captiva Electric Vehicle (EV) and the Captiva Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV). Building on the popularity of the original Captiva as a family-focused, value-packed SUV, the new variants mark the brand’s move to make future-forward mobility more accessible across the region.
Trim Choices
The traditional model continues with its 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 149 hp, seven-seat capacity, and trims including LS, LT, Premier, and Midnight Edition.

Captiva EV – All-Electric Confidence
The new Captiva EV is powered by a 60-kWh lithium battery producing 201 hp, with an estimated 415 km range (NEDC). Fast-charging capabilities allow an 80% charge in 45 minutes, or approximately 75 km of range added in 10 minutes. Every EV comes standard with a Level 1 portable charger, a 7 kW wallbox for home charging, and a Type 2 cable.

Captiva Plug-In Hybrid
For those not ready to go fully electric, the Captiva Plug-In Hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5-kWh battery, delivering 201 hp and up to 1000 km range (NEDC). It features three drive modes (EV, HEV, EV MAX) and four performance settings (ECO, ECO+, Standard, Sport). Charging options include Level 1, Level 2 (3.3 kW), and DC fast charging up to 24 kW.
Updated Design and Interior
Both new models feature a refreshed design that is longer and wider than before, paired with a premium cabin offering five seats, up to 532L of cargo space, and leatherette upholstery in black or beige. The dashboard features modern finishes, while trims include LT and Premier.

Available colours include Galaxy White, Laser Grey, Shadow Golden, Dawn Blue, Khaki Green, and Red Metallic, with the EV offering a two-tone roof option.
Technology and Safety
Tech features vary by trim. The LT offers a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with an 8.8-inch driver cluster, while the Premier adds a 15.6-inch display, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, a 360° camera, and advanced driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, and lane departure assist.
Both models include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smart keyless entry, 4 airbags, cruise control, and folding electric mirrors as standard.
