A lot has been happening to Chevrolet’s SUV lineup lately. The completely new 2021 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban were launched, the 2021 Equinox received an extensive facelift and the new Captiva (a rebadged Chinese SUV) debuted for the GCC market. Now it is the turn of the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse, as it gets a mild facelift for the new model year.
How long does a vehicle model live? While most models get a complete revamp in 7-8 years, Chevy Express van has been around for the last 26 years. The sturdy van has been accepted across the world and Chevy has never really fettled with the Express except in terms of frontal styling. Why fix something if it ain’t broken? The van for 2021 though, gets a new engine.

The midsize sedan segment is a competitive one dominated by the Japanese. But Chevrolet has had a competent entry for a few years now that hasn’t gained traction, even with competitive pricing. The Korean-built Malibu received a quiet facelift for 2019 though, along with a new engine that’s a huge improvement.
A surprise debut at the 2019 Dubai Motor Show was the 2020 Chevrolet Captiva. We didn’t quite realise what model it is until we saw the “Captiva” badge on the tailgate. It’s a decent-looking compact crossover, but it wasn’t until later that it’s really a rebadged MG Hector after a reader alerted us.
