Legend Motors partners with 212 to debut rugged new brand in the UAE

Legend Motors, under the umbrella of Legend Holding Group, has officially partnered with 212 Off-Road Vehicle Co., Ltd., marking the UAE debut of one of China’s most storied off-road brands. This strategic collaboration marks a major step in 212’s global expansion, bringing its heritage-rich, adventure-focused lineup to the roads of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Founded on over 60 years of off-road expertise, 212 is known for building vehicles that combine timeless design with uncompromising durability. The brand’s debut model, the 212 T01, embodies this spirit with a classic boxy silhouette and advanced engineering designed to tackle the toughest environments.

The T01’s distinctive styling follows 212’s design philosophy of “one arch, two circles, three horizontal bars, four vertical pillars.” It’s powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, supported by front and rear rigid axles and a capable four-wheel-drive system. These specifications give it the off-road capability to handle steep climbs, rocky trails, and deep water crossings with ease.

Inside, the T01 balances rugged utility with refined comfort, with premium leather upholstery, practical mechanical controls, and ample storage. Multiple pre-installed modification points also allow owners to personalise their vehicles to suit specific adventures or lifestyle needs. Safety and durability are key strengths. Its high-intensity steel cage structure and advanced active safety systems have been validated through over one million kilometres of real-world testing across 366 extreme conditions.

The T01 sits on the WY platform, dedicated to hardcore off-road performance, with future models, including a diesel and hybrid variant, set to follow. Another platform, the WB, will underpin larger SUVs and pickups designed for multi-purpose use.

Globally, 212 has already made its mark by supporting racer Han Wei in the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, and by becoming the first Chinese off-road brand to compete in the Mille Miglia, covering nearly 10,000 kilometres across Eurasia.

Under the new UAE partnership, Legend Motors will serve as the official distributor for 212 vehicles across the Emirates. More than a dealership agreement, the partnership symbolises a shared vision of innovation, performance, and adventure, reflecting both brands’ commitment to creating vehicles perfectly suited for the UAE’s demanding desert terrains and adventurous lifestyle.

Backed by the industrial might of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, a Fortune Global 500 company ranked 166th in 2025 with over USD 76.6 billion in revenue, 212 is poised to become a key player in the region’s fast-growing off-road market.
