HAVAL V7 Launched in the UAE

The Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Group, distributor of Great Wall Motor (GWM) in the UAE, has officially unveiled the all-new HAVAL V7 midsize SUV in the local market.

Positioned as a versatile SUV aimed at urban drivers who also want light off-road capability, the HAVAL V7 blends everyday comfort with selectable terrain-focused driving modes.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the HAVAL V7 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission (9DCT). The setup produces 228 hp and 380 Nm of torque.

Buyers can choose between 2WD and intelligent 4WD variants. The SUV comes equipped with HAVAL’s All-Terrain Control System. In 2WD models, drive modes include Standard, Sport, Economy, Snow and Auto. The 4WD variants add Mud, Sand and Grass/Bumpy Road modes, tailored to regional driving conditions.

Measuring 4,800 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width and 1,843 mm in height, the V7 sits firmly in the midsize SUV segment while maintaining road presence suited for city driving.

Interior and Features

Inside, the HAVAL V7 features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Higher trims include features such as ventilated front seats, a refrigerated centre armrest storage box, privacy shades and up to 43 storage compartments throughout the cabin.

Wireless charging is rated at 50W, and higher specifications offer a premium 10-speaker audio system with subwoofer. An Infinity panoramic sunroof is also available.

Technology highlights include voice recognition, a 360-degree panoramic camera system with transparent chassis view, automatic parking assist and an available 9-inch head-up display. Select variants also offer adaptive cruise control, driver seat memory with welcome function, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and exterior mirror memory with reverse tilt.

Safety

The HAVAL V7 is built using reinforced body construction incorporating 2000 MPa ultra-high-strength steel in key areas. According to the manufacturer, the model has achieved a 2026 A/Euro-NCAP five-star safety rating.

Standard and available safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), advanced driver assistance systems and stability control systems. The 4WD variants are additionally equipped with an electronically controlled rear axle differential lock for improved traction in off-road conditions.
