Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric launched at Beijing Auto Show

Porsche has revealed the new all-electric Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric at the Beijing Auto Show, marking a significant step in the brand’s electrification strategy while retaining its performance-focused DNA.

Design

Inspired by the iconic design of the Porsche 911, the Cayenne Coupe Electric adopts a sloping “flyline” roof profile, giving the SUV a more dynamic stance. Compared to the standard SUV, the coupé sits 24 mm lower and benefits from improved aerodynamics, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.23. This contributes to a claimed WLTP range of up to 669 km.

Performance

At launch, Porsche is offering three variants, all delivering strong performance figures. The base model produces 300 kW (408 hp), while the Cayenne S Coupé Electric pushes up to 400 kW (544 hp). At the top of the range, the Turbo variant delivers up to 850 kW (1,156 hp) with overboost, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of just 2.5 seconds.

Charging

Underpinning the model is an 800-volt architecture, allowing DC fast charging at up to 390 kW, with peak capability reaching 400 kW under optimal conditions. AC charging of up to 11 kW comes as standard, with an optional 22 kW onboard charger available.

Despite its sportier profile, practicality remains intact. The Cayenne Coupé Electric offers up to 1,347 litres of rear cargo space along with a 90-litre front trunk. It also retains a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes, reinforcing its usability as a daily SUV.

Interior

Inside, the model adopts Porsche’s latest digital interface, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display, optional passenger screen, and augmented reality head-up display. A panoramic glass roof with optional Variable Light Control adds to the premium feel, while a Lightweight Sport package introduces carbon elements and weight savings for a more performance-oriented setup.

Traditional performance appeal with modern tech

With the Cayenne Coupé Electric, Porsche is clearly aiming to blend its traditional performance appeal with modern EV technology, positioning the model as one of the sportiest offerings in the growing electric SUV segment.
