Li Auto Signs UAE and Saudi Arabia Partnerships
Li Auto has officially signed partnership agreements with UAE-based Al Fahim Motors and Saudi Arabia’s Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, marking its planned entry into the Middle East market with its extended-range electric vehicle lineup.
The agreements were finalised at the company’s Beijing headquarters, forming part of Li Auto’s broader global expansion strategy, which also includes new market entries across Asia-Pacific and future plans for Europe.
L-series models heading to UAE and Saudi Arabia
As part of the regional rollout, Li Auto will introduce its L-series extended-range electric SUVs to both UAE and Saudi Arabia. Known for their EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) technology, the models combine electric driving capability with a petrol-powered generator to extend range, offering a practical solution for long-distance driving.
The brand positions these models as premium, family-oriented vehicles, with a focus on spacious interiors, advanced technology and intelligent cockpit systems tailored to everyday usability.
Strategic move into key regional markets
Li Auto highlighted UAE and Saudi Arabia as benchmark markets for innovation and growth in the Middle East, underlining their importance in the company’s international road map. The partnerships with established local distributors are expected to support a smooth market entry and customer experience.
Executives from both sides emphasised the alignment between Li Auto’s technology-focused product lineup and the region’s growing demand for smarter, more sustainable mobility solutions.
Broader global expansion plans
Beyond the Middle East, Li Auto is also expanding across Asia-Pacific markets including Cambodia, Laos, Macau and Myanmar, with operations expected to begin shortly. The company has also confirmed plans to enter Europe, with participation in the Paris Motor Show 2026 marking its first major appearance in the region.
With a growing global footprint and increasing focus on extended-range electric technology, Li Auto is positioning itself as a key player in the premium new energy vehicle segment, as it continues to expand into new markets worldwide.
