Ferrari unveils Purosangue Handling Speciale configuration
Ferrari has introduced a new Handling Speciale configuration for the Ferrari Purosangue, offering a sharper, more driver-focused setup for its first-ever four-door, four-seater model.
Developed as an optional configuration available on request, the Handling Speciale package is designed to enhance the sporting character of the Purosangue without compromising its everyday usability. It targets buyers looking for a more engaging driving experience while retaining the versatility that defines Ferrari’s high-riding performance model.
Sharper dynamics and improved response
The key focus of the Handling Speciale configuration lies in refining the car’s dynamic behaviour. Ferrari has recalibrated the active suspension system to reduce body movements by 10%, resulting in a more controlled and composed feel through corners and rapid direction changes.
The updates also extend to the gearbox and electronic systems. Shift strategies have been revised to deliver quicker response times and more decisive gear changes, particularly in ‘Race’ and ‘ESC-Off’ modes. Under acceleration, the setup prioritises a stronger sensation of thrust, while manual shifts become more engaging at higher engine speeds above 5,500 rpm.
Ferrari has also enhanced the in-cabin sound profile, with a more pronounced V12 soundtrack during start-up and acceleration, emphasising the character of the naturally aspirated engine.
Ferrari signature V12 architecture retained
Despite the performance-focused upgrades, the core architecture of the Purosangue remains unchanged. The model continues to feature a front-mid mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with a rear-mounted gearbox in a transaxle layout, maintaining Ferrari’s traditional performance DNA.
The four-seat layout, elevated driving position and overall cabin usability also remain intact, ensuring the Purosangue continues to deliver practicality alongside performance.
Subtle design enhancements
Visually, the Handling Speciale configuration introduces a number of exclusive styling cues without altering the car’s proportions. These include newly designed wheels with a diamond-cut finish, carbon-fibre side shields, matt black exhaust tips, and a black rear Prancing Horse emblem.

Additional details such as a satin-finished Ferrari script and a dedicated interior plaque further distinguish this configuration from the standard model.
Ferrari seven-year maintenance programme
Alongside the new configuration, Ferrari continues to offer its seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme with the Purosangue. The package covers all scheduled servicing for the first seven years, including regular maintenance every 20,000 km or annually, using original parts and factory-trained technicians.
The programme is available globally across Ferrari’s official dealer network and is also extended to pre-owned models, reinforcing the brand’s focus on long-term ownership and aftersales support.
With the introduction of the Handling Speciale configuration, Ferrari is further expanding the appeal of the Purosangue, combining increased dynamic performance with the practicality expected from a four-door Ferrari.
